Bio

2021-22: Key part of Hillsdale's third-consecutive G-MAC/MEC title...swam legs on all three of Hillsdale's title-winning 200, 400 and 800 yard freestyle relays at the G-MAC/MEC Championships, and also won the 200 freestyle to earn first-team All-G-MAC honors...also placed third in the 200 backstroke,  fifth in the 500 freestyle and ninth in the 100 backstroke at the G-MAC/MEC Championships...named G-MAC Women's Swimmer of the Week three times (Oct. 11-18; Oct. 25-Nov. 1; Jan. 17-24).

2020-2021: GMAC athlete of the year. At the GMAC/MEC Championships, Tunney placed in the top three in every event. Second in the 200 backstroke, second in the 100 backstroke, second in the 500 freestyle, second in the 800 freestyle relay, second in the 400 medley relay, second in the 400 freestyle relay, third in the 1000. 

2019-2020GMAC Freshman of the year and conference champion in three events. At the Phoenix Fall Classic, Tunney placed in the top eight in all of her events. Third in the 500, fourth in the 1650 with a lifetime best time, third in the 200 backstroke, fourth in the 800 freestyle A-relay, sixth in the 400 freestyle A-relay, and seventh in the 400 medley A-relay. At the GMAC/MEC Championships, the Chargers won their first conference title. Tunney placed in the top five in every event. Conference champion in the 500 freestyle, conference champion in the 200 freestyle with a lifetime best time, conference champion in the 800 freestyle relay, second place in the 1000 with a lifetime best time, second in the 400 medley relay, second in the 200 backstroke, and second in the 400 freestyle relay. 

High School:  Part of the record holding 200 medley relay and 400 freestyle relay at Homestead High School…Voted MVP of high school team and voted Girls Swimmer of the Year two years in a row for club team… Received All-State Honors in the 500 freestyle in 2017 and 2018…Enjoys working as a swim instructor for kids who are just learning to blow bubbles all the way up to endurance training in all four strokes…Born March 12, 2001…Parents Jeff and Kathy, sister Lauren Tunney who is the swim team manager going on her fourth season.
