USTFCCCA All-Academic Track Release

On the track, Hillsdale College's teams enjoyed tremendous success in 2017-18. That level of achievement carried over into the classroom for both programs.

A total of 15 individuals - four male, 11 female - as well as both teams earned Scholar All-American honors from the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

Men's athletes who got individual recognition were: Joseph Humes, Nathan Jones, Konnor Maloney and Adam Wade.

Women's honorees were: Maryssa Depies, Kajsa Johnson, Arena Lewis, Hannah McIntyre, Ashlee Moran, Abbie Porter, Christina Sawyer, Rachael Tolsma, Hannah Watts and Alexadra Whitford.

Individuals eligible for this award were selected as the highest-finishing performers at the NCAA Division II Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field Championships who achieved All-Academic status. Those athletes who won individual NCAA titles ranked higher in the tie-breaking process and cumulative GPA is weighed as the final advantage.

Teams who were recognized must finish highly at the national championships meet and have at least a 3.00 cumulative team GPA. Standards for these awards are established by the USTFCCCA.
