High School: Strong competitor in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia in both club and interscholastic tennis...a team captain at Gymnasium Schloß Neuhaus in Paderborn, helped lead his high school tennis squad to a fourth-place finish in the North Rhine-Westphalia state championships...earned runner-up honors in the men's B flight of the Paderborn District Championship, and helped his club earn first place in the Westfalian Tennis Association Team Championships as well...strong student who had the top marks in his class three consecutive years and earned a spot in the German Junior Academy...active volunteer at his tennis club and the regional tennis association, serving as a youth tennis instructor...plays the Cello with eight years of experience in the Paderborn Youth Orchestra...parents are Frank and Daniela Kober.
