Cooper Named GLIAC North Player of the Week for 4th Time This Season

Kyle Cooper was never better than he was in Saturday's win over Northern Michigan. Monday, he was recognized for his efforts.

Cooper was named GLIAC North Division Player of the Week for the fourth time this season. The award was chosen and announced by the conference office.

He topped that performance in Saturday's 85-70 win over the Wildcats. He scored 40 points, shooting 13-for-16 from the floor, which was good for a career-high .813 shooting percentage. He added four made 3-point baskets and made a season-high 10 free throws.

For the week, he averaged 32.5 points per game while shooting 75 percent from the floor. He continues to lead the GLIAC in scoring at 22.9 points per game.

Cooper is a native of Northville, Michigan, and he attended Detroit Catholic Central High School.
