Bio

2015-16: Put together one of the best seasons in the history of Charger men’s basketball…Was named Second-Team All-American by the Division II Conference Commissioner’s Association…The 2015-16 GLIAC Player of the Year, the first Hillsdale College player to win that award since 1984…Led the GLIAC in scoring and 3-point shooting percentage and was second in rebounding average…Had two 40-point games, tying a career-high with 41 in a 94-90 win over Walsh Jan. 2 and scoring 40 on 13-for-16 shooting in a win over Northern Michigan Feb. 13…Had 17 double-doubles…Shot 86.8 percent from the free throw line, 44.1 percent from 3-point territory and 55.9 percent from the field…The only player in NCAA Division II to rank in the nation’s top 40 in scoring, free throw percentage and rebounds…Finished 11th in school history with 1,521 points…His 709 rebounds were 10th-most in school history and his 88 blocked shots were 9th-most in program history…Made 569 field goals in his career, No. 9 in school history and his career 55.1 percent mark from the floor is 7th-best in school history…His 632 points scored in 2015-16 were the most by a Charger in 27 years…His 231 field goals made were third-most in a season in school history and the most by any player in the program in 41 years…First player in school history to be named the Capital One College Sports Information Directors of American Academic All-American of the Year, emblematic of his excellence both on the court and in the classroom…Named to the GLIAC Academic Excellence Team for the third consecutive year…Had six games of 30 or more points…Averaged 26 points and 11 rebounds per game against teams that made the NCAA Midwest Regional Tournament…Scored 20 points with 8 rebounds and 2 blocked shots at the Division II All-Star Game in Frisco, Texas March 25.

2014-15: Took his place as one of the top players in the conference with a sensational season…Second in the GLIAC in scoring average (20.5 ppg) and led the GLIAC in rebounding (10.3)…Named First-Team All-GLIAC…Named Daktronics First-Team All-Region, the only junior on the first team…Became first player in program history to be named CoSIDA Capital One First Team Academic All-American (NCAA Division II)…Scored 11 or more points in 25 of the team’s 26 games…Scored a career-high 41 in the regular-season opener at Cedarville Nov. 25, which was tied for the most points scored by a Charger men’s basketball player in the past 18 seasons…Scored 28 points in the team’s game at the University of Michigan Nov. 15…Named GLIAC North Division Player of the Week Dec. 1, when he averaged 36 points per game in the season’s opening week…In addition to his he production, was extremely efficient, shooting 54 percent from the field, 41 percent from 3-point land and 86 percent from the free throw line…Named to the GLIAC Academic Excellence Team for the second year in a row.

2013-14: Improved all aspects of his game in his sophomore season and figures to be a center piece of the program as he transitions into his upperclassmen years…Can score from any part of the court and is an athletic presence at both ends…Started 23 games and finished second on the team with 325 points (13.5 ppg)…Also finished second in the team with149 rebounds – 6.2 per game – and was third on the team averaging 27.2 minutes played per game…Was on the receiving end of some gorgeous alley-oop dunks, mainly off passes from Zach Miller, a combination that figures to provide more highlights in the future…Had five 20-point games during the season, with a career-high performance of 24 points coming in a blowout win over Northern Michigan Dec. 16…Had 22 points and a career-high 5 blocked shots at Findlay Feb. 3…Grabbed a career-high 14 rebounds in an 86-67 home win over Findlay Feb.27. 

2012-13: A forward with an excellent shooting touch and very promising future…Sufferedan injury after the game at Grand Valley State Dec. 15, and played in just seven games after that, totaling 36 minutes on the court in those games…Averaged nearly 10 minutes per game before the injury…Made two 3-point shots in his collegiate debut, a win over Olivet Nov. 9.

High School: A 6-7 forward who hails from Detroit Catholic Central High School, the same program which produced former Charger forward Tim Dezelski...Named All-Catholic League twice and was an Academic All-State honoree following the 2010-11 season...The starting quarterback on the football team as well helping  the Shamrocks win the Catholic League Championship and reach the 2011 Division I state championship game...Volunteered at soup kitchens in the Northville area, and helps with various student council activities at Catholic Central High School.
