Chargers roll past Ursuline in 7-0 road victory

The Hillsdale College women's tennis team took care of business on the road against Ursuline on Saturday, rolling to a 7-0 victory without dropping a single game to the Arrows.

Hillsdale took the doubles point with all three flights winning by 6-0 margins, including the Chargers' No. 1 doubles team of senior Melanie Zampardo and sophomore Megan Hackman, Hillsdale's No. 2 doubles team of junior Courtney Rittel and freshman Ane Dannhauser, and the No. 3 doubles team of senior Helana Formentin and junior Libby McGivern.

All six singles players for the Chargers also rolled to 6-0, 6-0 victories to take the match for the Chargers, including Dannhauser at No. 1 singles, Zampardo at No. 2 singles, McGivern at No. 3 singles, Rittel at No. 4 singles, senior Julia Wagner at No. 5 singles, and sophomore Isabella Spinazze at No. 6 singles.

Hillsdale is now 8-12 overall, 5-3 in the G-MAC and closes out the regular season with a critical match for seeding in the upcoming G-MAC Tournament at Walsh on Sunday. A victory would give the Chargers the four seed, while a loss would mean Hillsdale would drop to the five seed in the upcoming G-MAC Tourney next week at Center Court in Owensboro, Kentucky.
