2024 NCAA DII Women's Swimming and Diving Championship Psych Sheet

The Hillsdale College women's swimming and diving team's two returning All-Americans are headed back to the NCAA DII Championships this March, on the hunt to add to their list of accomplishments.

Juniors Elise Mason and Megan Clifford were among the field listed when the NCAA revealed its list of qualifiers on Wednesday to compete at the national meet hosted on March 12-16 at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio.

Mason, a honorable mention All-American in the 2023 1,650 freestyle, will compete in her third NCAA DII national meet, having qualified 22nd in the 1,650 freestyle for the 2024 edition on the basis of her B-cut time of 17:06.68 at the Don Kimble Invite in Nov. 2023. Due to additional B-cut times in the 500 freestyle and 1,000 freestyle, she also will compete in both those events as well at the national level.

Clifford, meanwhile, was a first-team All-American in 2023 after placing seventh in the 200 butterfly. She earned a return trip in 2024 and is seeded 19th with a season-best time of 2:03.10 entering the Championships in March.

The pair are among the most accomplished swimmers in Hillsdale College history, with a combined 14 G-MAC/MEC titles between the two of them in three seasons at Hillsdale, as well as five school records and the All-American honors earned last season. By earning All-American honors in 2024, both Mason and Clifford have the opportunity to join 2015 graduate Rachael Kurtz as the only Hillsdale College women's swimmers in program history to earn All-American honors across multiple seasons with the Chargers.

The 2024 NCAA DII Women's Swimming and Diving Championships will be streamed live on NCAA.com, beginning with competition on March 12.
