High School: Accomplished prep swimmer from Arizona...was the AIA Division III state champion in the 100 butterfly in 2021, and also earned runner-up honors in the 200 freestyle in the same year and third place in the 100 butterfly in 2022...team MVP three consecutive seasons at Veritas Prep...also active in the club swimming scene with Desert Thunder Aquatics Club, Phoenix Swim Club and the JForce Swim team...strong student who was named a Sports360AZ All-Academic team member and received the National Hispanic Recognition Program Scholar Award...active volunteer with the Creighton Community Foundation in distributing food to the needy, as well as time as an English tutor...parents are Jason and Taryn Lucero.
