The Ball State Challenge offered the Charger men an opportunity for excellent competition and beautiful weather this weekend.

Freshman Adam Wade came out strong in the 800-meter race, taking sixth with a time of 1:57.55. His classmate, freshman Mark Miller, also raced hard in the 1500 meters, running a college best of 4:02.72, which took fourth.

In the 110 meter hurdles, sophomore Ian Brown ran his season best (15.25 seconds) to take seventh.

The men's 4x400 meter relay, including senior Lane White, junior Levi Wyse, sophomore Charles Holbrook, and freshman Adam Wade, pulled together an impressive performance for fifth, with a time of 3:22.43.

Senior Daniel Capek, with his usual consistency, took third in both the discus (47.91 m) and hammer throw (57.70 m) – boasting a seasonal best and provisional mark in the latter. Senior Seth Overla also represented Charger throws well, taking second in the javelin with a throw of 48.52 meters.
