Charger men's golf team signs Max Burns in Class of 2026

The Hillsdale College men's golf team is looking forward to a big spring season after a strong finish to the fall half of the 2021-22 campaign.

And the Chargers are also looking to the future, adding another talented golfer that will be joining the program as a freshman in the fall of 2022.

Max Burns (Lakewood, WA/Bellarmine Prep) is one of Washington State's top prep golfers, carrying an impressive resume that includes a South Puget Sound League 4A Individual Championship in 2021 while leading Bellarmine Prep to four consecutive SPSL team titles in his time in high school.

The Lakewood native also was the 2021 Washington Junior Golf Association District 3 Champion, won the 2020 RMJGT Saint Patrick's Day Open, and finished tied for 17th in the Washington State Amateur this year, along with multiple other top finishes in WJGA Open events.

Burns is also a standout in the classroom, serving on Bellarmine's State Team for the We The People AP Government competition, and active in giving back to his community, volunteering with the Nativity House Charity and helping to organize a food drive at Bellarmine Prep for them in 2020.

He'll join a team that will be returning most of its lineup in the 2022-23 season and looking to continue contending for G-MAC crowns and NCAA Regional berths.
