Dragons’ Win Streak Comes to an End

Dragons’ Win Streak Comes to an End

Tiffin University (16-13, 10-8 G-MAC) was unable to keep up with Hillsdale's offensive efficiency as its five-match win streak came to an end following a 3-1 defeat.

It was a back-and-forth start to the first set until, tied at 12, the Chargers surged ahead with a 13-4 run that sealed earned them a 1-0 lead.

Hillsdale jumped out to an early 6-2 advantage in set number two. Trailing by nine at 18-9, the Dragons pushed to get themselves back into the match with an 8-3 run which cut the deficit to just four. That is as close as they would get, however, as the set ended 25-19.

The Chargers once again took an early lead in the third and final set, but TU did not back down easily. Down by five, a kill from Wakaya Wilson sparked a 7-2 run to tie up the set at 22 all. Hillsdale then scored three-straight to complete the sweep.

Josie Reinhart and Kenedi Goon led the way in kills with nine each followed closely by Wilson with eight. Addison Conti tallied 25 assists and added four kills as well.

Defensively, Olivia Karhoff ended with a team-high 15 digs while Kaylee Freund and Goon each had three total blocks.

The Dragons will be back in action tomorrow, November 11th for their Senior Day matchup against Northwood in what will be the regular-season finale.
