GAME STORY

  • Northwood led 17-16 with 2:22 remaining in the first when the Timberwolves went on a run. NU scored eight of the next 10 points to go up 25-18.
  • The NU lead stood at 25-20 after one quarter.
  • Hillsdale was the better team in the second quarter, turning a 27-20 deficit at the 8:41 mark into a 41-34 lead with 1:12 remaining.
  • A key part of the game came the remainder of the half, as Northwood put up the final five points of the second to cut the Chargers lead to 41-39 at the break.
  • While the score remained close the remainder of the game, Northwood took the lead for good early in the third, going up 44-43 at the 8:47 mark.
  • Northwood's lead in the third got up to six on two occasions before the score was 61-57 heading to the fourth.
  • Hillsdale cut the advantage down to one at 63-62, only to see the Timberwolves put up nine straight points in just over two minutes to make the score 72-62.
