Laker Women's Tennis Face Setback at Hillsdale

HILLSDALE, Mich. - The Lake Superior State (LSSU) women's tennis team (1-3) fell to the Hillsdale Chargers (2-4) by a final score of 4-1 on Saturday.

The Chargers were able to secure the doubles point for the early lead, but the Lakers did not allow them to take it without a fight, taking the first two doubles down to the wire with the duos of Tayla Brasier (Bathurst, Australia) / Trinity Ly (Toronto, Ont.) and Valentina Parodi (Albissola Marina, Italy) / Maddie Whip (Sydney, Australia) narrowly falling by respective scores of 7-5 and 6-4.

In singles play, Whip was able to pick up the lone victory on the day for the Lakers with a 6-1, 6-2 performance at the No. 4 spot.

The Lakers will now turn their attention to the 2024 PTR Spring Tennis Fest where they will first face off against Florida Southern on March 3.
