Oilers Lose to #17 Hillsdale in Battle for G-MAC North Supremecy

The University of Findlay lost to Hillsdale College in a three-set match (25-19, 25-15, 26-24) on Tuesday Sep. 28 in Niekamp Arena. This brings the Oilers to an 8-2 record on the year. It is their first conference loss bringing that record to 4-1.  

The Oilers were led by freshman Journey Blevins. She recorded 19 kills on 51 attempts leading her to hit .235. She also recorded three digs and one block.    

Assisting Blevins was senior Madison Moore who contributed 10 kills and hit .318. Sophomore Hannah Warrington had 8 kills. Junior Emma Meyer had 3 kills.  

On the defensive side, senior Ashton Terrill contributed 23 digs and was assisted by sophomore Alissa Rhodes with 8 digs. Terrill, who transferred from Northern Kentucky University, eclipsed 2,000 digs in her career with her performance tonight. While playing for the Norse Terrill had 1,857 digs, 193 shy of NKU's career record.     

Senior Abigail Schroeder had 37 assists in the match and added six digs. 

The Oilers hit .171 for the match compared to Hillsdale's .289.  

The Oilers are back in action Friday, Oct. 1 at Ursuline College at 7pm.
