The Hillsdale College Chargers finished fourth at the NCAA Midwest Regional meet today in Evansville, Indiana. Grand Valley State University won the meet with 40 points, Michigan Tech took second with 146 points, and conference rival Walsh University finsihed one point ahead of Hillsdale with 155. Fourth wasn't a high enough team-finish to automatically qualify for the NCAA Division II National meet, so they will have to wait to see if they earn a bid to qualify.

Senior Arena Lewis led the team with a 14th-place finish in 21:26.9

Junior Christina Sawyer stepped up today to take 28th with a new personal best time of 21:48.2. And sophomore Claire McNally was close behind in 32nd, as she nearly tied her personal best time, crossing the finish line in 21:55.0.

Freshmen Gwynne Riley and Meg Scheske finished next for the Chargers came in 39th, finishing in 22:06.6. Scheske took 45th in 22:15.9, just shy of her PR.

Sophomore Sophia Maeda finished 52nd overall in 22:25.7, and junior Maryssa Depies rounded out the pack in 22:29.5 to take 55th.
