2020 Charger Volleyball Season Ticket Packages
The three-time defending G-MAC champion Hillsdale College volleyball team had one of its best seasons in program history last year, and is looking for more.
With five of the top seven players returning from a team that made just the third regional final in program history in 2019, including consensus All-American and G-MAC player of the year Allyssa Van Wienen, expectations are high for the 2020 campaign both inside the program and nationally.
As they look to the fall campaign, the Charger volleyball team is happy to announce that season tickets are now on sale for the 10-match home slate at Dawn Tibbets Potter Arena.
For the third straight season, Hillsdale College is partnering with universitytickets.com to provide advance ticket purchasing opportunities for home football, volleyball, basketball and track and field events.
The season kicks off on September 3rd as Hillsdale hosts its annual three-day invitational, facing off against three programs, two of them regional foes, that went a combined 64-30 in 2019.
The Chargers start with a match against Upper Iowa from the rugged Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference at 4:30 p.m. on Sept 3rd, then play GLVC foe Illinois-Springfield in a regional match at 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 4 and finish the tournament with a match against former GLIAC opponent Ashland at 3 p.m. on Saturday.
The tournament is part of another ambitious out-of-conference slate for the Chargers, who rode a strong performance in high-quality non-conference matches to a two-seed in the Midwest Regional last season and will aim to repeat that success in 2020.
Conference play kicks off on Oct. 3 with a 1 p.m. Saturday match against longtime rival Findlay, part of a critical three-game homestand that also includes a showdown with 2019 G-MAC runner-up Tiffin at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 9 that should be crucial in deciding the league title race.
The Charger volleyball team also has a fun weekend of Halloween festivities planned for its matches against Trevecca Nazarene on Friday, Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. and Kentucky Wesleyan on Saturday, Oct. 31 at 5 p.m. The match against the Trojans will include a kids costume party and other Halloween-themed activities.
Hillsdale closes out the home volleyball calendar in November, taking on Lake Erie at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 13 and hosting Ursuline at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14 for the program's annual Alumni Day and also its Senior Day honoring the class of 2021.
