WEEKEND PREVIEW: The Midwest Region Crossover Tournament is the largest Division II volleyball tournament in the country, and has been a signature event on the calendar for the past 11 years...No team faces as tough of a slate of matches as Hillsdale, who enters this weekend on a seven-match winning streak and is the #1 seed in the G-MAC...The Chargers will face #2 in the GLVC Rockhurst, #3 in the GLIAC Saginaw Valley and #6 in the GLVC Lewis...Lewis, who was ranked No. 5 in the nation just one week ago, lost last weekend to Indianapolis (3-2) and Bellarmine (3-0), and somehow, fell from #1 to #6 in its conference based on just those two matches...It's the exact same thing that happened to the Flyers one year ago before the Crossover, when that team stumbled before the Crossover, got a lower seed, then went on to win the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional Tournament and advaned to the Final Four in the national tournament...Hillsdale got matched up with Lewis last year in identical fashion as this year, with Lewis, ranked 10th in the NCAA, is the #6 seed in its own conference...The Chargers will play one match Friday, then play in the early and late sessions on Saturday...The results of this weekend will play a big factor in where teams end up in the postseason regional tournament...In 2017 Hillsdale went 3-0, won the G-MAC Tournament, and was the No. 2 seed in the regional...Last year Hillsdale went 0-3 at the crossover, won the G-MAC Tournament, and was the No. 8 seed at the regional...Saginaw Valley State is an improved team this year, and has a 3-0 win over defending GLIAC champion on its 2019 resume.

- Sophomore Karoline Shelton won her first-ever G-MAC Offensive Player of the Week honor on Monday after averaging more than 4 kills and 4 digs per set in last weekend's sweeps of Tiffin and Cedarville
- This is the sixth time Hillsdale has entered the crossover tournament as the #1 seed from its conference
