- Now that preseason tournaments are over, the Chargers enter the conference portion of their season, starting with a Friday match at Malone
- Hillsdale has an unusual schedule to start out, playing Friday but not Saturday, and returning home Tuesday to face Cedarville
- Sophomore setter Lindsey Mertz was named to the Findlay Classic All-Tournament Team after dishing out 90 assists and piling up 16 digs in 7 sets played across two matches last weekend
- Junior Taylor Wiese has been lethal this season for the Chargers, ranking 1st in the G-MAC with 5.62 digs per set and 8th with 0.52 service aces per set
- Senior Paige VanderWall was named G-MAC West Player of the Week on Monday...It was the second time in her career she's won that award
- VanderWall ranks 3rd in the G-MAC in kills per set (3.83) and 10th in hitting percentage (.320)
- As a team, Hillsdale leads the G-MAC in average kills per set (13.6) and fewest opponents' service aces per set (0.92), and that's with playing an early season schedule that has included two of the top four teams in Division II as well as tough regional foes like Ashland and Missouri-St. Louis
