- After back-to-back three-match weekends on the road, the Charger volleyball team will pack up its pillows and blankets for another long trip this weekend, heading to Kentucky and Tennessee for two more matches at Trevecca Nazarene and Kentucky Wesleyan
- These matches are the final ones on the road during the regular season for Hillsdale...The team's final three regular season matches will all be played at home Oct. 30-Nov. 3
- Hillsdale recovered well from going 0-3 at the Midwest Region Crossover to post a 3-0 mark last weekend on a three-match trek through Ohio, including an important 3-0 win over Tiffin Oct. 19, bumping the Dragons out of second place in the G-MAC West
- Senior Kara Vyletel has moved up to fourth place on the Chargers' all-time kills list with 1,231...Only one player in the 25-point rally-score era (Ashlee Crowder) has more kills in a career than the dynamic outside hitter from Ann Arbor
- Vyletel was named the G-MAC West Player of the Week Monday afternoon...She's the third member of this year's team to earn that honor
- Not far behind Vyletel is senior Paige VanderWall, who's 1,168 career kills aree fifth-most in a career in school history...The 2,399 combined career kills by Vyletel and VanderWall are the second-most by any set of teammates in school history (Taryn Rudland and Becky Grzegorski 2003-06 - 2,526)
- VanderWall (1st) and Vyletel (7th) are each in the top 10 in the G-MAC in kills per set this season, and their 553 combined kills are tops among teammates in the G-MAC this year
- Sophomore setter Lindsey Mertz has expanded her lead in the conference by averaging 12.05 assists per set this season
- Saturday's match will match up the G-MAC's two best teams in opponents' hitting percentage...Kentucky Wesleyan is #1, allowing its opponents a .164 hitting percentage for the season, with the Chargers closely behind at .166
