For the 10th time in his 400-plus win career, Charger volleyball coach Chris gravel has notched a 20-win season.

Hillsdale College got to that milestone for the first time since 2011 thanks to a hard-fought 3-0 win over Walsh University in Canton, Ohio Saturday afternoon. The Chargers are 20-6 overall and 12-4 in the GLIAC with the win.

The Chargers won set one 25-23, then dominated set two, 25-12. The Cavs put up a strong fight in set three, a 25-21 win for Hillsdale.

Junior Erin Holsinger (pictured) had a terrific match from her middle hitter position, leading the team with 11 kills and a .714 hitting percentage. She also had one solo block and five block assists, executing the primary role of her position perfectly.

Senior Emily Wolfert notched her second straight error-less match, with 8 kills and a .727 hitting percentage. Wolfert and Holsinger, as middle hitters, combined for 19 kills and 1 error, punishing the Cavalier defense from the middle.

Freshman Kara Vyletel also had an error-less match, with 6 kills and a team-high 11 digs, while setters Marissa Owen and Taylor Bennett combined for 30 assists on Hillsdale's 39 kills.

The Chargers hit .500 as a team in the 25-12 win in the second set and limited the Cavs to a team hitting percentage of .173. Hillsdale also tripled Walsh's block assist total (12-4) as a team in the win.
