2011: Spent the first part of the season recovering from an offseason injury, but once healthy, became a significant contributor to the team’s deep postseason run…Had a combined 13 kills and one error in tournament championship-clinching matches against Ferris State Nov. 13 and the University of Indianapolis Nov. 20…Had 39 kills in 35 sets played from Oct. 22 through the end of the season…Also had four assists and four block assists in the regional title-clinching win over the Greyhounds.


2010: Recovered from an early-season injury to post career-highs in most statistical categories as a sophomore...Had the finest match of her career at Ashland on Oct. 30, where she had a career-high 10 kills to help the Chargers to a hard-fought 3-2 win over the Eagles...She hit .474 with 3 digs and 3 block assists in that match as well...Started five of the last seven matches she played in during the season.

2009: Saw limited playing time at outside hitter, but displayed exciting athleticism and potential...Played 32 sets and had 24 kills along with 15 digs and four service aces...Had her best all-around match in the regular season finale, a tense 3-2 win at Northwood Nov. 7, where she had seven kills, four block assists and three digs...That win clinched homecourt advantage for the Chargers in the GLIAC Tournament.

High School: Dynamic all-around player who could see significant playing time as a freshman...Plays with skill in both the front row and back row...Was named her high school's top Scholar-Athlete following her senior year...Set school records at Wayland for kills in a season (684) and total blocks in a season (138)...Hit .650 as a senior and had 79 service aces along with 387 digs...Compiled more than 1,200 kills in her final two seasons and was named First-Team All-Area and First-Team All-Conference twice...Named Wayland High School’s Athlete of the Month in December 2007 and Athlete of the Week in March 2008...Also played basketball and soccer and earned All-County and All-Area honors as a basketball player...Member of the Student Council for four years and volunteers for Project Hope...Played the cello in the school’s orchestra...Has a standing vertical jump of 9 feet, 3 inches and a block jump of 8 feet, 11 inches...Born Sept. 23, 1990...Parents are James and Bonny...Father Jim Shuster played basketball at Hillsdale College from 1981-85...Is an Education major...Named to the GLIAC All-Academic team in 2010 and 2011.
