The Hillsdale College women's tennis team lost a 7-2 decision to Wayne State University in Detroit Wednesday afternoon in the GLIAC regular season finale.
Despite the loss, Hillsdale has secured a spot in the GLIAC Tournament, slated to take place in Midland, Michigan October 28-30. The Chargers will be the #8 seed in the three-day tournament.
Sophomore Halle Hyman was victorious once again at No. 1 singles, winning the first set 6-2 before her opponent retired. Th win helped make up for an agonozingly close loss she and Katie Bell suffered at No. 1 doubles, losing a 9-8 (7-5) decision to the Warriors.
One doubles team from Hillsdale who did win was the No. 3 combo of senior Dana Grace Buck and sophomore Madeline Bissett, who were 8-4 winners.
