Saturday evening Hillsdale College swim team traveled for the second day in a row to Albion College and lost 119-86.
Senior Anika Ellingson won both of her events starting with the 100 IM (1:04.13) and then the 200 breaststroke (2:28.20). Sophomore Katherine Heeres won the 200 freestyle (2:00.50) and senior Suzanne DeTar won the 50 freestyle (25.78).
Sophomore Catherine Voisin swam her lifetime best time in the 1000 and finished second (11:25.87). Sophomore Bailey Bickerstaff had a very strong 200 backstroke finishing second and only a half second off of her best time (2:13.57).
Senior Grace Houghton finished second in the 500 (5:30.36) with very little rest from her 200 butterfly where she finished in a close third (2:13.86).
Freshman Madeline Breay finished third in the 1000 (11:29.83) and a close third in the 200 breaststroke (2:36.71). Heeres had a third place finish in the 200 backstroke (2:14.13). Freshman Stefanie Walker took third in the 500 freestyle (5:35.06).
The 200 medley A-relay of Bickerstaff, Ellingson, Clark, and Addis finished second (1:53.51), and the 200 medley A-relay of Vita, Rao, Addis, DeTar also finished second (1:42.54).
