2018-2019: Freshman year at the Phoenix Fall Classic held at the Univeristy of Chicago, Maddie finished in the top 8 in all of her individual events: lifetime best in the 1650 (18:31.36 8th), 100 breaststroke (7th), 200 breaststroke (6th), 800 freestyle A-relay (4th),200 medley relay (6th). At the Great Midwest and Mountain East Conference Championships she finished in the top 10 in all of her events: lifetime best in the 1000 (10:51.69/ 7th), 100 breaststroke (7th), 200 breaststroke (8th), 800 freestyle A-relay (3rd), 1650 (10th).
