Points were hard to come by for both teams in Saturday afternoon's women's basketball matchup between Hillsdale College and Trevecca Nazarene University. Unfortunately for the Chargers, they couldn't quite generate enough to pick up a win.

Trevecca went on an 11-3 run after Hillsdale had cut the deficit to 2 in the fourth quarter, and went on to a 65-54 win over the Chargers at the Dawn Tibbetts Potter Arena. Hillsdale now stands at 5-13 overall and 2-7 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference.

The Chargers trailed for most of the game, but put together a nice run of offense to open the fourth quarter to tighten the gap. A 3-pointer by junior guard Jaycie Burger cut the Trojan lead to 2, 49-47. But Trevecca responded well, restoring its double-digit lead just three minutes later. Trevecca played an aggressive game on defense, allowing the Chargers very little space to get off clean looks at the basket.

Freshman Sydney Mills continues to be a bright spot for Hillsdale, as she recorded her second straight double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Burger led the Hillsdale offense with 14 points, including three 3-point baskets. Senior Julia Wacker played an effective game with 12 points, hitting a pair of shots from the 3-point arc.
