G-MAC Women's Basketball Statistics

OVERVIEW

  • Hillsdale is one of three teams in the conference (Walsh, Malone) riding winning streaks of five or more games headed into play this week...The Chargers have won 5 straight, a streak that started Jan. 31 in a win over Tiffin
  • Hillsdale has won those five games by an average of 15.6 points per game
  • Senior Brittany Gray has scored 992 career points and is on the cusp of becoming the third player this year to eclipse 1,000 career points...Makenna Ott and Allie Dewire hit that threshhold earlier this year
  • If Gray hits that milestone, the 2018-19 Charger women's basketball team would be the first to feature three 1,000 point scorers since the 2006-07 squad
  • Gray has also made 178 career 3-point shots, leaving her five away from third place on Hillsdale's career list
  • Ott ranks in the G-MAC's top 20 in scoring, rebounding, assists, field goal percentage, minutes played and blocked shots
  • Dewire ranks fourth in the G-MAC in both scoring and free throw percentage and is 12th in assists per game...She is one of three players in the conference with more than 100 made free throws on the season
  • Hillsdale currently sits in 5th place in the G-MAC, but just a half-game ahead of Malone and two up on ODU in the loss column...The Chargers are two full games behind Findlay for fourth place in the conference, making it mathematically challening for the team to get home-court advantage in the first round of the G-MAC Tournament
  • The top four teams in the conference will host tournament quarterfinal games on Tuesday, March 5, a change in the tournament format from last year...The highest remaining seed after quarterfinal action will host the semifinals and finals March 8-9
