With a young but motivated roster, the Charger men's cross country team will again be looking to contend for the top spot in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference in the 2019 season.
Hillsdale was selected to finish fourth in the league, according to the preseason coach's poll, released Thursday morning. The Chargers received 96 poll points, finishing just behind Cedarville for third. The Chargers' point total was well ahead of fifth-place Findlay, who netted 81 poll points.
Senior Joseph Humes, a multi-time national qualifier in both cross country and track, leads the Chargers into the new season. He'll be joined by up-and-coming runners like Mark Miller, Morgan Morrison and Jack Shelley in helping cement Hillsdale's status as a conference and regional contender.
