Dobrowolski competes in high jump at 2024 NCAA DII Outdoor Championships

Hillsdale College junior Cass Dobrowolski finished the 2024 outdoor track and field campaign for Hillsdale College with competition in the high jump on Friday at the 2024 NCAA DII Outdoor Championships at Emporia State University.

The 2024 national meet was Dobrowolski's second time competing for a national championship, and the junior made a dramatic clearance of the first bar at 2.03 meters on his final attempt to stay in the competition. However, despite multiple solid attempts at the 2.08 meter second bar, Dobrowolski couldn't extend his stay any further, bowing out in 15th place in the nation in the event.

The finish caps a breakthrough year for Dobrowolski, who cleared seven feet for the first time in his career earlier in the season to punch his ticket to the national meet. It's something Dobrowolski can build off of heading into his fourth and final season at Hillsdale next year as he looks to raise the bar even higher and challenge Hillsdale College program records in the event.

While the competition is over for the Charger men's track and field team at the 2024 NCAA DII Outdoor Championships, Hillsdale's women's team has three athletes competing on the final day on Saturday, including Eden Little in the javelin, Shura Ermakov in the 400m hurdles, and Liz Wamsley in the 5,000m run to wrap up the season for the Chargers.
