The Hillsdale College Chargers can boast yet another new school record set by sophomore John Baldwin at the Conference Crossover at the Biermann Center tonight.

With good competition to pull him along, Baldwin placed second in the 60m hurdles to beat his previous school record by two-hundredths of a second. His time of 8.19 seconds is not only a new school record, but an NCAA Division II Provisional Standard. His teammate senior Ryan Thomsen placed seventh in the event as well, with a time of 8.88 seconds.

In the 400m hurdles, senior David Downey was the lone competitor in his event. He finished in 1:01.98.

The Chargers went 1-2-3 in the 400m dash, with junior Adam Wade leading the way. He finished in 50.68 seconds, with freshmen Ian Calvert and Joseph Ritzer right behind in 51.53 and 53.62 seconds, respectively.

Hillsdale also had a strong showing in the 800m run. Freshmen Sean Hoeft and Isaac Waffle went 1-2 in a close finish of 2:00.08 and 2:00.32.

The distance runners had a great day in the 3000m run. They were led by sophomore Adam Wier who took second in 8:53.80, which was nearly a 30-second PR for him. Freshman Mark Sprague finished third in 9:02.46 and junior Morgan Morrison took fourth in 9:07.21.

In the field events, the Chargers made quite a bit of progress. Starting with the high jump, freshman Charlie Andrews finished third with a PR of 1.92 meters. Thomsen finished third, clearing 1.87 meters. Sophomore Ben Raffin earned another provisional standard in pole vault, taking second with a height of 4.87 meters.

In the horizontal jumps, Thomsen and Baldwin took second and third in long jump with marks of 6.83m and 6.78m, respectively. Freshman Josh Nichols won triple jump with 13.05 meters.

The Chargers put together two 4x400m relay teams that took first and second in the meet with times of 3:26.36 and 3:42.38.
