Ivanhoe Lissanevitch's debut with the Hillsdale College men's tennis team was successful from every angle. On Tuesday, his recognition expanded to league-wide.
Lissanevitch was named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week. The award was announced and chosen by the conference office.
Competing at No. 1 doubles and No. 2 singles, Lissanevitch went 4-0, winning his singles matches in straight sets for the 2-0 Chargers. He recorded wins over Mercyhurst and Edinboro on the road to open the new season. He is the second member of the team to win G-MAC player of the week honors this season, joining fellow newcomer Tyler Conrad.
