After a frustrating first loss of the season Friday night to a GLVC opponent, the Charger men's tennis team left no doubt a losing streak was not in the cards, playing against another GLVC foe Saturday.
Hillsdale shut out Bellarmine University 4-0 in a regional matchup in Louisville, Kentucky. The win makes the Chargers 6-1 on the season.
Three singles matches were left unfinished after the Chargers mathematically clinched the victory.
Hillsdale secured the doubles point thanks to wins at No. 1 by Charlie Adams and Justin Human, 6-4. John Ciraci and Brian Hackman came up big with a 7-6 victory at No. 2 doubles.
All three singles matches were Charger wins in straight sets. Adams was a 6-3, 6-4 victor at No. 1 singles, and Hyman came up with a 7-6, 6-3 win at No. 2 singles. Ciraci rounded out the scoring for Hillsdale with a 6-3, 6-4 win at No. 3 singles.
