Liam Purslowe put together the second-best round by any Hillsdale College golfer in the 2017-18 season in his first round of play last weekend at the SVSU Spring Invite. Wednesday, he was rewarded for his play.
Purslowe became the second member of this year's team to be named Great Midwest Athletic Conference Men's Golf Player of the Week. The award was chosen and announced by the conference office.
Purslowe placed sixth overall at Hillsdale's first spring event, the SVSU Spring Invite, held in Lexington, Kentucky over the weekend. He shot a 68 in his first round, and finished with a two-round score of 141 to lead Hillsdale, finishing sixth overall at the event. His first round was his best round of his career and his third career round in the 60s.
