G-MAC Fall Invite Results

The region from around south central Michigan to northern Ohio has been relatively dry all summer. So of course, rain plagued the final round of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Fall Invite, hosted by the University of Findlay.

Every group was able to get a minimum of nine holes in, though some played more than others. Event officials determined that only nine-hole scores would be counted for players and teams as part of Tuesday's action at the Findlay Country Club.

Hillsdale moved up from fifth to fourth on the second day of the event, finishing with a team score of 454 (27 holes).

The host Oilers won the event with a 436. They were followed by Malone (443) and Trevecca Nazarene (451).

Liam Purslowe led the Chargers with a 27-hole score of 107. He carded a 74 Monday and rang up a 33 through nine holes of competition Tuesday.

Joel Pietila and George Roberts tied for second on the team, each with a two-day score of 115. Pietila followed up his first-round 78 with a second-round score of 37. Roberts shot a 74-41--115.

Ryan Zetwick was fourth on the team with 117, shooting a 40 on Tuesday's nine holes. Joe Torres rounded out the top five with a 79-42--121.
