Logan Kauffman has been one of the Charger golf team's underrated players throughout his career. Over the weekend, he found his time to shine.
Kauffman led Hillsdale to a third-place finish at the Irish Hills Invitational, hosted at the Grande Golf Club in Jackson, Michigan. The Chargers had a team score of 609, finishing seven strokes behind second-place Wayne State and event winner Hope College.
Kauffman shot the best round of anyone in the team's five-player group on both days of the event, shooting 73-74—147 for the tournament. Andy Grayson was second on the team with a 149. He was followed by Steve Sartore (156), John Burke (159) and Ben Meola (161).
Both Burke and Meola improved upon their round 1 scores in round 2, going from an 80 and 82 to a pair of 79s respectively.
