Bio

2022: Swiss Army knife for Hillsdale's offense who made the most of a move to receiver in 2022, contributing both in the slot catching passes and as an end-around threat out of the backfield...also played a major role as a holder on kicks and return man on special teams, averaging 15.6 yards per kick return...won Hillsdale's Special Teams Player of the Week award in back-to-back weeks, against Tiffin on Oct. 8 and Northwood on Oct. 15, and also received the team's Big Stick award against Tiffin on Oct. 8...named to the One Play Warrior club for his work on special teams in 2022...had a season-best receiving day against Michigan Tech on Nov. 5, catching two passes for 39 yards...will be a key part of Hillsdale's plans both on special teams and offensively in 2023.

2021: Stepped into a larger role at tailback for the Chargers in his second season, rushing for 394 yards and two touchdowns with a team-best 4.6 yards per carry among regular backs...had his best performance of the season against Lake Erie on Oct. 16, rushing for 71 yards and a touchdown on 10.1 yards per carry and being named the team's Offensive Player of the Week...added 65 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries at Ashland (Oct. 30)...earned the team's Big Stick Award for his performance against Kentucky Wesleyan...will be in the mix in the battle for the starting tailback position in the fall.

2020-21: Appeared in just one game but made a huge impact in that contest in the spring 2021 season, rushing for 87 yards and two touchdowns on 10.9 yards per carry in Hillsdale's 35-28 road win over Ohio Dominican (April 24)...earned Hillsdale Offensive Player of the Week honors for his performance against the Panthers...will be in the mix for the starting tailback job in the fall 2021 season.

High School: Two-way player and starter helped lead Holt High (MI) to an MHSAA Division I playoff berth as a senior in 2019 after a five-year absence...was team's leading rusher as a senior, finishing with 948 yards and 17 touchdowns on the ground in 10 games and helping the Rams tie for the Capital Area Activities Conference - Blue title for the first time since 2011...finished his career with 1,314 rushing yards and 23 touchdowns, and added 127 tackles, an interception and two kick return touchdowns as well...earned three all-conference honors in football, and was also an All-Conference baseball player for a Holt squad that won a regional title and a state meet qualifier as a sprinter in track and field...earned the Michigan Education Association Outstanding Student Award, was the president of the Holt chapter of the National Honor Society, and received the Thomas J. Watson Memorial Scholarship...active volunteer with Holt Math Buddies and organized a variety of charity projects with NHS...parents are Jeffery and Kathy VanEnkevort.
