GAME PREVIEW: A six-plus hour busride awaits the Charger football team this weekend as Hillsdale makes its longest trip of the regular season, taking on Alderson Broaddus University in West Virginia...This is the Chargers' second trip to face the Battlers on their home field, and the first meeting there was a dramatic one back in 2017...Hillsdale rallied from a 24-7 deficit to topple AB 38-31...In that game Merrick Canada set a school record for longest fumble recovery return, scoring on a 97-yard play that swung the momentum in that game to the Charger side...Last year, Hillsdale held a 45-3 lead before the Battlers scored three cosmetic touchdowns against Hillsdale's backups in the fourth quarter...The Charger offense will face an Alderson Broaddus defense that is yielding an average of 50.4 points per game, and has given up 70-plus points twice this year...The Charger offense has scored 30 or more points in five of its last six games, all five of those resulting in victories...Alderson Broaddus is one of the founding members of the G-MAC, and every year, the Battlers play Kentucky Wesleyan in Week 11 in a game known as the Founders' Cup.
