Graham, Temple, Konkle Named All-American by Don Hansen's Football Gazette

2019 Don Hansen's Football Gazette All-American Release

Three Charger football players finished their careers with the ultimate honor - being named All-American.

Seniors David Graham, Drake Temple and Mark Konkle were all recognized by Don Hansen's Football Gazette, which released its All-American teams Monday morning. Graham was a Second-Team All-American selection at the All Purpose position, which accounted for his production at tailback and as a kick returner. Konkle and Temple were honorable mention All-American picks, at offensive line and safety, respectively.

Graham did a little of everything for Hillsdale in 2019, rushing for 1,049 yards and 15 touchdowns. He also caught 21 passes for 289 yards and two more scores. He was lethal as a kick returner, averaging 26.6 yards per kick return with a long of 65. He wrapped up his career being named team MVP and ranks fifth in school history with 3,039 rushing yards. His 52 total touchdowns is the second-most by any player in Hillsdale College history.

Konkle was as consistent as they come in his four seasons as a starter on the offensive line, the last two at left tackle. A team captain, Konkle was named the 2019 G-MAC Offensive Lineman of the Year, and earned First-Team All-Conference and All-Region recognition.

Temple had a monster season at safety in 2019, intercepting 7 passes with 65 total tackles, 6 pass breakups and two fumble recoveries. He was the 2019 G-MAC Defensive Back of the Year, ranking second in the conference in interceptions.
