David Graham Named Charger Football Team MVP

The regular season conference leader in scoring was also named the most valuable on his team Sunday afternoon.

Senior tailback David Graham was the recipient of a number of awards at the Hillsdale College football postseason banquet, held at the Searle Center. None was more significant than being named the winner of the Roy Beck Most Valuable Player Award for the 2019 season. The MVP award is voted on by the players.

Graham rushed for 1,049 yards, caught 21 passes for 289 yards and scored 17 total touchdowns during an impressive 2019 campaign. He averaged 5.1 yards per rush and led all G-MAC non-kickers in scoring average through the season at 9.5 points per game. During Saturday's season finale, Graham crossed the 3,000 yard career rushing barrier, making him just the fifth player in school history to hit that milestone.

During Sunday's banquet, Graham was also recognized as the Most Outstanding Offensive Back, and along with Nate Jones, Mark Konkle and Dan Shanley, was a recipient of the Captains Award.
