David Graham Named G-MAC Offensive Player of the Week

One of the best rushing performances in Hillsdale College football history led to a well-deserved honor for senior David Graham.

The starting running back for the Chargers, Graham set a career-high with 232 rushing yards in Saturday's win over Lake Erie. As a result, he was named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Player of the Week. The award was announced and chosen by the conference office Monday morning. Graham is the fifth different Hillsdale College athlete to win a conference player of the week honor this year.

In just 15 carries, Graham ran around and through the Storm defense, scoring touchdowns that spanned 76, 55 and 22 yards in the team's 34-14 homecoming win. That yardage total landed Graham on a number of top-10 lists.

It was the seventh-most rushing yards in a game in Charger football history and was the seventh-highest rushing yardage total by an NCAA Division II Player during the 2019 season. It was also the third-highest rushing yard stat recorded by a player in G-MAC history. He averaged 15.5 yards per carry, and he was the first Hillsdale player to exceed 200 yards rushing since Joe Reverman did it on Oct. 31, 2015.
