Austin Sandusky Named G-MAC Offensive Player of the Week

When it comes to Austin Sandusky, the shortest player in the Chargers' starting lineup, "size matters not."

Standing 5-foot-6, Sandusky might be small in stature, but plays big game in and game out, and Monday morning, was rewarded for his big-play ability. He was named the G-MAC Offensive Player of the Week after an explosive performance in Hillsdale's 34-18 win at Ohio Dominican Saturday night. The award was announced and chosen by the conference office.

Sandusky caught four passes for a career-high 143 yards and one touchdown in Saturday night's victory. He averaged nearly 36 yards per reception, an average that was significantly helped by an 80-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Chance Stewart in the third quarter of the game. It was the longest reception of Sandusky's career, and came during a point where Hillsdale scored 20 unanswered points to grab control of the contest.

A native of Morenci, Michigan, Sandusky is in his fourth year as a starter for Hillsdale.
