The Series
Hillsdale leads the all-time series with the Dragons 7-3. The Chargers got their current six-game winning streak started with a stirring 38-24 win over Tiffin at the 2015 Hillsdale College homecoming game. In that contest, RB Joe Reverman ran for 276 yards, the second-most in a single game in school history. Hillsdale's last win at Tiffin's Klanow Stardium came back on Nov. 12, 2011, a 42-0 victory that clinched the GLIAC regular season championship for the Chargers.

Extra Points

  • Hillsdale is 2-0 for the first time since 2009. A victory over the Dragons would give the Chargers their first 3-0 start since the 2007 season.
  • Tiffin won the last game played between these two teams in the state of Ohio, 31-24, on Oct. 25, 2014.
  • Through two weeks, the Hillsdale defense has allowed a total of 34 points, its lowest point total through the first two weeks of a season since 1999.
  • The Chargers won five in a row over the Dragons from 2007-11, and averaged 40 points per game in that streak. The Chargers have scored 24 or more points in eight of 10 all-time meetings with the Dragons.
  • Hillsdale's current six-game winning streak is the longest active streak in the conference and is the longest for the program since it won six in a row from October - November of 2009.
  • Two different players - Austin Sandusky and Trey Brock - have already amassed 100-yard receiving games. RB Joe Reverman picked up his first 100-yard rushing game of the season in last week's win over Walsh. All three of those offensive skill position players are sophomores.
  • Keith Otterbein is the dean of GLIAC head football coaches. He's entering his 15th season coaching the Chargers (his alma mater), the longest tenure of any coach with his current program. Otterbein also coached at Ferris State from 1986-94, making 2016 his 24th season coaching in the GLIAC.
