All-Region Release

Sophomore wide receiver Trey Brock caught one more honor from the 2016 season Wednesday morning.

Brock was one of two wide receivers to be named First-Team All-Region by Don Hansen's Football Committee. The team was made up of players from Super Region Four, which includes programs from the GLIAC, G-MAC, GLVC and RMAC.

In just his second season, Brock established himself as one of the most dangerous and consistent wide receivers in the region. He caught 77 passes for 1,322 yards and 10 touchdowns. He finished the 2016 season as the conference champ in receptions per game and receiving yards per game. His receiving yardage total was second in school history.

Brock was also named First-Team All-Region by the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association, a program administered and voted upon by sports information directors in Super Region Four.

The Don Hansen team carries out the legacy of long-time small college football advocate Don Hansen, who passed away at age 75 on Aug. 29, 2010. Hansen, from Brookfield, Illinois, started and published Don Hansen's National Weekly Football Gazette for three decades, selecting NCAA Division II All-America teams for the first time in 1988. Don Hansen's Football Gazette began selecting Division II All-Region squads in 2003.

Brock joins a distinguished list of Chargers who have earned honors from the Don Hansen publications, a list that includes Mark Nicolet, Jared Veldheer, Drew Berube, Joe Glendening and Cam White, among others.
