Virtus Tentamine Gaudet: Strength Rejoices in the Challenge
As a Charger Athlete, you are familiar with this motto. It is still the cornerstone of Charger Athletics today. Our student-athletes rejoice in the challenge of pursuing excellence both on and off the field.
You also know that we operate without government subsidies, unlike almost every other college or university. This independence comes at a cost and often means that our teams must work even harder to succeed.
We invite you to join us in the Charge Ahead Challenge! This campaign challenges alumni to help maintain our athletic programs and assist their teams with some of the important projects they may be looking to fund beyond annual operations.
Each athletic team will compete against each other to achieve their weighted campaign goal during the Charge Ahead Challenge. Overall, we hope to raise $27,500 from 275 supporters for our athletic programs. Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor, gifts from alumni like you will be matched $1-for-$1, up to $10,000.
