One of the best wrestlers in that program’s history, he was named NCAA and NAIA All-American multiple times in his career. He also earned All-American accolades in football and track and was the MVP of the 1976 wrestling team. In track, he was a national finalist in the hammer throw. He later went on to a successful high school coaching career, and was named the 1985 Blue Water Coach of the Year.
