Erin Gillespie Bunting ‘89
One of the great distance runners in the college’s history, she earned NAIA All-American honors seven times, and earned Academic All-American recognition six times. She set the NAIA national record in the 10,000 meter run, and was named the 1986 Female Athlete of the Year at Hillsdale College. She graduated magna cum laude in 1989, and would later have a son who played football for the Chargers in the 2000s.
