Chester Marcol ‘82

 

A record-setting placekicker for the Chargers, Chester Marcol is one of the most recognizable names associated with Hillsdale College football, more than 40 years after he suited up for the program. He was a three-time All-American and booted a school-record 62-yard field goal during the 1969 season. His record of 104 consecutive extra-points made has stood for more than 40 years. He was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in 1972 and went on to earn NFL Rookie of the Year honors that season. He was a two-time Pro Bowl kicker and led the NFL in scoring in 1973 and 1975.
