Warren Spragg '57

 

Warren Spragg joined the Hillsdale College football program in 1954 and became part of the foundation of the Dale’s teams that would dominate throughout the 1950s.He was named First-Team All-MIAA three times from 1954-56 and was co-captain of the 1956 team that went undefeated winning a conference championship.  Spragg also earned NAIA All-American honors and was drafted by the NFL’s Los Angeles Rams in 1957. He returned to Hillsdale and worked as a defensive line coach for Frank “Muddy” Waters from 1967-71. Spragg then began a 36-year career as an educator, serving as coach, principal, and assistant superintendent at various high schools in Michigan.
