1957 Hillsdale College Football Team

The 1957 football team, led by coach Frank “Muddy” Waters, won nine straight games to start the season to establish a 34-game winning streak, an NCAA Division II record that would later stand for nearly 50 years. Led by All-Americans Doug Maison and Dave Trippett, the Dales allowed only 49 points all season before losing to Pittsburg State, 27-26, in the NAIA national championship game, which was featured on national television.
