The Charger women's cross country qualified to the NCAA Division II National meet for the sixth year in a row after a masterful performance at the NCAA Division II regionals.

Today's Midwest Regional race was hilly, cold and snowy, but the girls pushed through to earn second place with 104 points. Grand Valley State University captured first with 26, and Michigan Tech University took third with 116. 

Junior Arena Lewis led the way for Hillsdale finishing in fifth place overall with a new personal best time of 21:41.3. 

Sophomore Maryssa Depies finished next in 14th with a time of 22:13.9. Senior Ally Eads ran her final race in Hayden Park in 22:20.1 to take 19th place.

Sophomore Christina Sawyer earned 24th place overall with a time of 22:27.5.

Sophomore Lauren Peterson conquered the hills to earned a new personal best time as well. She finished in 23:09.8 to take 42nd. Her previous best was 23:49. 

Junior Kate Vanderstelt finished in 91st with a time of 24:07.3 and sophomore Megan Poole finished right behind her in 24:09.1 to take 93rd.

The Chargers will be racing at the National Meet on Dec. 1 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
