Women's Cross Country Team Runs to 4th Place at GLIAC Championships

The Hillsdale College women's cross country team ran against a very competitive field at the 2013 GLIAC Women's Cross Country Championships Saturday morning, placing fourth overall with 136 points.

Once again, Grand Valley State won the team championship with 30 points, easily outdistancing the field. Saginaw Valley State was second with 84, followed by Malone.

Senior Victoria McCaffrey was Hillsdale's top runner at the meet, finishing 20th overall with a time of 23:05.3. Sisters Emily and Molly Oren finished 23rd and 24th respectively, less than five seconds apart. Emily took second on the team with a time of 23:22.9.

Taking fourth and fifth on the Chargers were Chelsea Kilgore and Kristina Galat, who were 33rd and 36th overall at the meet, hosted by Michigan Tech University.
